Umpires

“Baseball is something more than a game to a (kid); it is (their) training field for life work.  Destroy (their) faith in its squareness and honesty and you have destroyed something more; you have planted suspicion of all things in (their) heart.”  ~Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis (Baseball commissioner)

“If they did get a machine to replace us, you know what would happen to it?  Why the players would bust it to pieces every time it ruled against them.  They’d clobber it with a bat.” ~ Harry Wendelstedt (MLB Umpire)

Baseball or Softball:  It doesn’t matter.   Hanover Little League like York and Adams county, are looking for devoted people who are interested in sharing their time to improve the game experiences for our players by umpiring.

Don’t worry about making mistakes or knowing all the rules.  The first is inevitable and the second is what we will help you learn to minimize the first.

If you are interested in getting involved, please contact our Umpire in Chief at the information below.
